Start 2025 with Confidence: Transform Your Riding Mindset from just ÂŁ28
Â
Practical solutions for riders who want more joy, confidence, and progress with their horses
Â
Do you feel held back by hidden fears, nagging self-doubt, or the frustration of plateauing in your riding?Â
You’re not alone.Â
This January, I’m hosting a 4-part workshop series to help you address these issues at their root. These workshops go beyond the quick tips you might find online. Instead, they’re designed to help you understand why you feel the way you do, and give you practical tools to create lasting change. Â
Â
Does any of this sound familiar?
- You avoid certain situations or exercises with your horse. Maybe it’s cantering, jumping, or even hacking out alone. Deep down, you know you’re holding back because of fear, but you’re not sure how to move past it.
- Your confidence feels like it’s on a knife’s edge. One mistake or bad experience can leave you spiralling, doubting yourself, and wondering if you’re “good enough.”
- You’re caught in a cycle of overthinking. Instead of focusing on what’s going well, you replay every mistake in your head, feeding the anxiety and self-doubt.
- You’ve set goals that feel impossible to reach. Whether it’s competing, mastering a new skill, or simply riding with more ease, the gap between where you are now and where you want to be feels overwhelming.
- You struggle to perform under pressure. Lessons, competitions, or even riding in front of others leave you feeling tense, flustered, or unable to show what you can really do.  Â
Here’s how these workshops can help:
- Break free from fear. Whether it’s fear of falling, failing, or “messing up,” you’ll learn how to rewire your brain so fear stops running the show.
- Build confidence that lasts. Confidence isn’t about bravery; it’s about having the tools to keep moving forward, even when things go wrong.
- Stop overthinking and self-doubt. Learn to quiet the inner critic and replace it with a calm, focused mindset.
- Set goals you’ll actually achieve. We’ll break down the overwhelm and help you create a step-by-step plan tailored to you and your horse.
- Handle pressure like a pro. Whether it’s in the competition arena or a tricky schooling session, you’ll have the tools to stay calm and focused.
- Whether you’re a grassroots rider or competing at a high level, these workshops will give you the mindset tools you need to succeed.
- Watch live or the recordings will be available after 24 hours to watch at your leisure.
What We’ll Cover:
Each workshop focuses on a specific challenge riders face, giving you the tools to tackle it head-on:
Core of Confidence (Mon 6th Jan, 8pm GMT)
Learn what real confidence is (and isn’t), why it can feel so fragile, and how to rebuild it sustainably. You’ll understand how your beliefs and habits shape your confidence - and how to change them for the better.
Fear Less, Ride More (Mon 13th Jan, 8pm GMT)
Fear stops progress, but it doesn’t have to. In this session, you’ll discover how fear impacts your brain and body, why it’s so hard to overcome, and the exact steps you can take to rewire your response to fear triggers.
Making Dreams a Reality (Mon 20th Jan, 8pm GMT)
Setting goals can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re battling fear or doubt. This workshop will help you set achievable, meaningful goals that align with your values, so you can stay motivated and focused.
Smashing It When It Matters (Mon 3rd Feb, 8pm GMT)
Pressure can turn even the best-prepared riders into a bundle of nerves. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to manage stress, handle competition nerves, and show up as your best self when it matters most.
Â
All workshops are live BUT with recordings available within 24 hours if you can’t make it live.
READY TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE?Why January is the Perfect Time to Invest in Your Mindset
Â
January is the season of fresh starts
Â
With the New Year comes a chance to reflect on what’s holding you back and make powerful changes that will set you up for success all year long. Imagine entering spring with a clear mind, unshakable confidence, and a plan you feel excited to follow.
Think of it this way: you invest in your horse’s care, training, and equipment—your mindset deserves the same attention. After all, your mindset affects everything about how you show up for your horse. Make this the year you prioritise yourself as much as you prioritise your horse.
Who Are These Workshops For?
These workshops are for you if:
- You’ve been avoiding challenges in your riding because of fear or self-doubt.
- You’ve lost confidence after a setback and don’t know how to get it back.
- You’re tired of overthinking every ride and want to enjoy your time with your horse again.
- You’ve set goals that feel out of reach or overwhelming.
- You want to learn how to stay calm, focused, and confident, no matter what.
Do these resonate with you?:
Â
Feeling Stuck and Frustrated?
It’s so common for riders to feel like they’re spinning their wheels, unable to make the progress they want. You might even wonder if you’ll ever feel confident again. Maybe you’ve been trying to push through, but deep down, you’re tired of:
- Feeling like you’re stuck in a loop. Every ride feels like the same struggles on repeat, with no real progress.
- Worrying about what could go wrong. Instead of enjoying the moment, your mind is racing with “what ifs” every time you get in the saddle.
- Dreading certain situations. Hacking, jumping, or even a simple canter brings on anxiety - and you’re starting to avoid them altogether.
- Feeling envious of other riders. Watching friends or competitors make progress while you’re left battling your nerves can be disheartening.
It’s exhausting, isn’t it? You love riding, but it’s hard to enjoy when self-doubt, fear, and frustration keep creeping in.
Â
When Fear Is in the Driving Seat
Fear can be sneaky. It doesn’t always feel like terror - it shows up in subtle ways, too:
- Making excuses not to ride. “The weather’s bad,” “I’m not feeling up to it today,” or “I’ll try again next week.”
- Avoiding challenges. Certain exercises, transitions, or environments start feeling impossible, so you steer clear of them altogether.
- Overthinking every move. Instead of riding instinctively, you’re caught up in a loop of second-guessing yourself, worrying about mistakes, or anticipating failure.
Fear takes the joy out of riding - and the longer it lingers, the harder it becomes to push through.
Â
The Confidence Rollercoaster
Confidence is such a fragile thing. One bad ride can undo months of progress, leaving you feeling:
- Embarrassed about what went wrong. You replay every detail in your mind, wondering why you couldn’t do better.
- Scared it will happen again. Instead of moving on, the fear takes root and starts colouring everything you do.
- Doubtful about your abilities. You start to question if you’re “good enough” to achieve the goals you’ve set.
- Reluctant to try new things. Every new challenge feels like a risk you’re not ready to take.Â
It’s a horrible cycle: the less confident you feel, the less likely you are to try - and the less you try, the more your confidence shrinks.
Â
When Riding Feels Like a Struggle
Riding should feel rewarding and enjoyable, but when you’re battling mindset issues, it can start to feel like a chore:
- You’re anxious before every ride. Just tacking up can bring on a flood of nerves, making you question why you’re even doing it.
- Your connection with your horse feels shaky. You’re both feeding off each other’s tension, and it’s hard to work as a team.
- You feel like you’re letting your horse down. You know they can sense your hesitation, and it breaks your heart to think you’re holding them back.
- The fun is gone. What used to be your passion now feels like a source of stress and frustration.
When riding feels this way, it’s easy to lose sight of why you started in the first place.
Â
Feeling Overwhelmed by Your Goals?
Big dreams are exciting, but they can also feel daunting - especially when the path ahead isn’t clear. Maybe you’re feeling:
- Unsure where to start. The gap between where you are now and where you want to be feels so wide, you don’t know how to bridge it.
- Frustrated by setbacks. Every time you make a little progress, something happens to knock you back.
- Scared to even try. What if you fail? What if you’re just not capable? Those thoughts can stop you before you even begin.
Instead of motivating you, your goals feel like they’re weighing you down.
Â
Tired of Comparing Yourself to Others?
It’s hard not to compare yourself to other riders - especially when social media is full of success stories.
- “Why am I not as good as them?” You wonder why they seem so confident and capable while you feel stuck.
- “What am I doing wrong?” It feels like no matter how hard you try, you’re falling behind.
- “Maybe I’m just not cut out for this.” You start to question if you’ll ever get there, and the self-doubt can be crushing.
Comparison robs you of the joy of your own journey, leaving you feeling inadequate and discouraged.

MEET JENNI...
Â
Hi, I'm Jenni Winter-Leach.
Nurturing individuals and their talent have always been at the heart of my professional life. After enjoying a successful corporate career as a Global Consultant in Talent Management, I felt the need to combine my love for the equestrian world and my ability as a Mindset Coach. This led me to develop Flying Changes Mindset (FCM), a market-leading business in the Equestrian sphere.
As an International Master & Trauma Informed Mindset Coach, Trainer, Award-Winning Professional Speaker & International Best Selling Author, I support riders at ALL levels of equestrian sport to overcome fears and anxiety, develop their mental performance and create real and lasting impacts on their results. I have spent years developing my own coaching and training skills and gaining qualifications that have helped me to then train others in my methodoliogies.
FCM now has a team of incredible coaches and we can't wait to bring in more to our community and start to really raise the bar on the standard of mindset coaching available to riders right now!
When I'm not running the business, supporting riders, training coaches, running workshops and talking at events - you'll find me riding my Lusitano in Showing, Dressage and Working Equitation. You will also find me running around after my Sproodle and my little girl who is now a toddler and keeps my life even crazier!
